Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Design Development for its Bentleyville, PA site. The role involves owning the design and development of rotating equipment, supporting Nash and MD Kinney products, and coordinating across engineering, manufacturing, and service teams.

You will contribute to design optimization, lifecycle support, and product documentation while driving improvements in performance, reliability, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years of rotating equipment design experience.
• 2+ years with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and manufacturing processes.
• 1+ year of using 3D CAD software (prefer Autodesk Inventor).

Responsibilities

• Support liquid-ring vacuum pump and compressor product lines through engineering design, evaluation, and documentation.
• Maintain product knowledge across configurations and platforms.
• Execute design and development activities from concept to prototype and release.
• Improve designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs; manage change histories.
• Analyze test results and field data to drive troubleshooting and design improvements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Sourcing, and Product Management.
