Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services is seeking a Design Engineer for our Houston shop environment. The role focuses on applying academic training to inspection, modeling, and design calculations across product lines.

You will review drawings, inspection results, write technical reports, and perform design calculations under guidance from senior engineers. The position includes field projects with travel to other locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze and document product designs meeting function, cost, reliability, manufacturability and safety requirements.
• Assist experienced engineers while developing engineering skills.
• Perform engineering analysis including preliminary designs and calculations.
• Review inspection reports and render dispositions to standards.
• Create 2D/3D CAD layouts and models.
• Communicate information effectively to colleagues.
