Job summary

Lawyers For Justice P.C in New Jersey seeks a New Jersey-licensed attorney to lead wage-and-hour, class and representative actions against regional and national employers. The attorney will manage a caseload, conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, draft and argue motions, appear in hearings and trials, and advise clients throughout the litigation process.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of civil litigation experience in New Jersey, be licensed in NJ, and be willing to travel

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in civil litigation, including discovery, oral advocacy, and depositions.
• Experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage-hour matters is a plus.
• Ability to travel on occasion.

Description

The Attorney will represent and advocate on behalf of clients in state and federal plaintiff's-side wage-and-hour, class, and representative action litigation against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing an active caseload; conducting and responding to discovery; taking and defending depositions; drafting and arguing motions; appearing in court for hearings and trial; and advising clients throughout the litigation process. Our caseload is growing and the ideal candidate for this position is a licensed, experienced litigator who is organized, professional, and committed to achieving strong outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be either (a) licensed to practice law in New Jersey or (b) already licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction and pending admission to the New Jersey.
• The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in New Jersey and have 5+ years of experience in civil litigation, including experience with discovery in the civil litigation context, oral advocacy and appearing in Court, motion practice and taking/defending depositions.
• Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation is a plus.
• Candidates must be able to travel on occasion.

License/Certification:
