Job summary

DEFCON AI seeks a meticulous data extraction engineer to pull structured facts from long, free-text documents, tying every assertion to a verifiable citation. The role sits on the analytics and AI engineering team within a secure government cloud environment.

You will maintain traceable pointers to source passages, distinguish totals from derived sums in financial narratives, and collaborate with retrieval colleagues to ensure downstream usability of extracted facts.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining traceable links between extracted data and source passages.
• Ability to distinguish stated totals from derived sums in financial narratives.
