Job summary

M/I Homes, a renowned homebuilder with 50 years of experience in crafting quality homes, is seeking a dedicated New Home Consultant to guide customers through the homebuying journey. You will showcase floorplans and designs, collaborate with internal teams, and aim to deliver exceptional service at every step.

Responsibilities include converting prospects to homeowners, leveraging marketing and realtor relationships, and meeting sales and service goals with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of new home sales experience with a proven track record of success in sales volume and customer satisfaction.
• Associate’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent training in sales and marketing.
• Goal-oriented with ability to balance individual and collaborative team work.
• Excellent communication, active listening, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills and willingness to adapt to new technology.

Responsibilities

• Convert visiting customers to new home communities into future homeowners.
• Showcase product features, floorplans, and designs to match customer needs.
• Generate sales using marketing materials, model homes, and realtor relationships.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and customer service goals with minimal supervision.
• Stay informed about market trends and competitors to maintain leadership position.
• Educate potential buyers on offerings, financing programs, and community advantages.
• Serve as the primary contact for homebuyers from initial meeting to home closing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and attend division meetings for seamless communication.
• Maintain brand image by monitoring community appearance and home maintenance.
