Job summary

Teradyne in North Reading, MA is seeking a Test Engineer for the New Products Introduction Pilot Line, focused on silicon photonics. You will debug complex semiconductor test equipment and drive fault-down, training, and ramp readiness for production.

You will work with cross-functional teams, document test results, and support test engineers and overseas technicians. Domestic/international travel is required; on-site role with laser safety expertise appreciated.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience as a Test Engineer in semi-test/optical industry is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and RF circuits.
• Ability to work independently on time-bound projects.
• Knowledge of Windows, MS Office, Adobe Reader.
• On-site at North Reading, MA facility.
• Laser safety knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Debug complex semiconductor test equipment from system to component level.
• Investigate and resolve Pilot Production test issues and defects.
• Integrate, validate and execute test at module and system level for Optical and related technologies.
• Analyze test logs and generate detailed reports.
• Drive Failure Analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action; lead transfer readiness with CM/Repair centers.
• Train and support test engineers and technicians (domestic or overseas).
