Job summary

Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program is required, with 3 years OR experience preferred. Current Surgical Technologist and BLS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technologist program from an accredited school.
• Three years continuous experience in an operating room preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional staff in providing care for the operative patient before, during and after surgery.
• Perform scrub and circulating duties in the operating room.
• Perform routine and specialized housekeeping activities.
• Apply principles of asepsis, infection control and medical ethics.
• Train newly assigned personnel.
