Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Structural Engineering New Grad to contribute to a broad Southeast portfolio from Raleigh/Charlotte, NC, or Norfolk, VA. The role emphasizes hands‑on design, analysis, and project execution with mentorship and training from day one.

You will assist with design development, documentation, and construction‑phase activities while collaborating across disciplines to meet budgets and client expectations, contributing to sustainable goals and SE2050.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required
• Master’s Degree (MS) required

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems using engineering software and tools to create designs, specifications, and calculations in line with code requirements and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand project needs, gather requirements, communicate technical information, and build professional relationships.
• Support the execution of consulting projects as part of a project team.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and documenting design decisions and client instructions while monitoring design progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs meet quality standards.
