Job summary

Authentic is seeking a software engineer (full-time) to build and ship features across our React frontend and Python/FastAPI backend in our New York office.

You will collaborate with product, design, and operations to solve real customer problems, and contribute to internal tools that help the team work more efficiently. You’ll work with data systems that drive risk assessment and claims decisions and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field (recently graduated or graduating by Summer 2025).
• Experience building web applications (personal projects, coursework, or internships).
• Comfort working across the stack—frontend and backend.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Ability to work on-site in our New York office.

Requirements

• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
• Interest in fintech, insurtech, or regulated industries
• Prior internship experience in fast-paced environments
