Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact or single-state privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN provides services.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and updates care plans accordingly.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains patient safety.
• Evaluates outcomes and takes action to improve care.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively and delegates appropriately.
