Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license to practice in required state(s).
• BLS certification required; additional specialty certifications may be preferred.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions and updates care plans as needed.
• Maintains safety culture and adheres to professional standards.
• Documents accurately in the EHR in a timely manner.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Complies with ANA Code of Ethics and ethical practices.
