Qualifications
- Required Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care.
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care.
- 5 years if education is Diploma in Nursing must have active RN license and recent 3-5 years acute care experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board in state of practice.
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association Required if unit requires.
- Unit Specific Certifications - Franciscan Alliance Required if unit requires.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association Required if unit requires.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - The American Academy of Pediatrics Required if unit requires.
Responsibilities
- Develop a plan of care for each patient.
- Implement, reassess, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing.
- Communicate with patients and families to address needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across units.
