Job summary

Cleveland Clinic offers a New Grad RN Resident position in the Cardiology Stepdown Unit at our Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. You will receive one-year core training through an accredited Nurse Residency program.

You’ll work in a fast-paced cardiac unit, deliver direct nursing care, participate in a structured residency curriculum, and be supported by a coaching team to grow clinically and professionally.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) required.
• RN licensure in the relevant state required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS if in a Critical Care area.

Responsibilities

• Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional patient care.
• Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience.
• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity and resources.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

About This Role

As a New Grad RN Resident in the Cardiology Stepdown Unit at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide fast-paced nursing care to a select medical cardiac patient population while receiving support and training through a one-year accredited Nurse Residency program.

Requirements

Education

Experience

• New grad or less than one year of RN work experience.

Licenses & Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required if in a Critical Care area.
