Job summary

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital offers an RN Residency Program to support the transition from student nurse to registered nurse. The program provides hands-on clinical experiences, monthly education, and mentoring in a supportive environment.

Residents work in collaboration with experienced nurse educators and care teams, gaining exposure to advanced clinical training and evidence-based practice projects within Park West or Normandy Park ED locations.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required within specified time frames.
• RN degree and active state license.
• May require travel for training during residency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the RN residency role.
• Assist with admission assessments and ongoing monitoring per shift.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapies with timely documentation.
• Provide patient and family education according to nursing models.
• Collaborate with clinicians to support a positive patient experience.
