Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is launching a 12-month Nurse Residency program beginning February 2027 to transition graduates from student to professional nurse through education, mentorship and peer support.

The program blends precepted orientation with blended learning and offers opportunities across Acute Care, Critical Care, ED, Women’s Services, cardiovascular care, surgical services, transplant, and more.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (RN license required).
• New graduates eligible for the Nurse Residency program.
• Georgia RN license and BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from birth through lifecycle using nursing processes.
• Maintain standards of practice and coordinate care for assigned staff.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability within the care team.
