UC San Diego Health is seeking a newly licensed RN for the Jacobs Medical Center 5FG-PCU Nursing residency cohort. The position offers night shifts, some day shifts, 12-hour shifts, and a 90% appointment at the 5FG-PCU unit with a strong emphasis on oncology and palliative care team collaboration.

The Nurse Residency Program supports new graduates with enhanced clinical training, hands-on skills, and a structured transition-to-practice experience within a Magnet-designated system.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• California RN license by start date.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.
• Commitment to obtain Chemotherapy certification within one (1) year of hire date.
• Licensure and certification are not required at time of application but will be required by the cohort start date of March 5, 2027.
• Must have less than six (6) months of working RN experience.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
