Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General seeks a New Grad RN Resident for the 3200 PCU Progressive Care unit in Akron. This night-shift position involves caring for patients transitioning to higher levels of intermediate care, delivering patient-centered nursing with a focus on safety and education.

The role requires ADN or BSN, RN licensure, and BLS (ACLS within a year). You will join a collaborative team and participate in care planning, documentation, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Develop and update goals and involve patients and families in plans of care.
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
• Administer treatments and medications and document.
• Participate in quality improvement and discharge planning conferences.
