Job summary

UNC Hospitals invites new graduate nurses to join the New to Preop/PACU (NPP) training program at the UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill. You will participate in a 12-week curriculum with classroom instruction, simulation, and hands-on preceptorship, while aligning with the New Graduate Residency Program.

This is a full-time, onsite role on campus and other UNC sites for classes and simulations. Eligible graduates must have RN licensure in North Carolina, BLS certification, and within 12 months

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after Jan 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years and obtain a Bachelor's in Nursing within seven years.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care per professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Participate in education, evaluation, planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
