Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 10-bed Progressive Care Unit. The role emphasizes team-based care, ongoing professional development, and compassionate patient interactions in a demanding, supportive environment.

The PCU RN will utilize the nursing process, participate in quality initiatives, and ensure safe medication administration while maintaining accurate EHR documentation. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license in state(s) of practice (multi-state compact preferred).
• BLS certification required; additional certs may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit governance, quality initiatives, and evidence‑based practice.
• Assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and coordinate with the care team.
