Job summary

Advocate Health in Macon, GA is seeking an experienced RN for the 10-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will use the nursing process to deliver intermediate-level monitoring and care to a diverse patient population, with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts from 7PM to 7AM.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice wherever providing services.
• BLS certification required; other certifications may be required by specialty.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety and ethics.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and may float to other units as needed.
