Job summary

Highmark Health in Canonsburg, PA is seeking a new graduate RN for the Operating Room to provide direct nursing care in a dynamic surgical environment, adhering to established policies and protocols.

You will coordinate care using the nursing process, initiate and revise interdisciplinary plans, document per policy, and teach patients and families across the continuum of care. You may precept students and new staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current PA RN license or multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• CPR – American Heart Association, Act 34, Act 33, ACT 73 clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to coordinate patient care for the age-appropriate population.
• Initiate, monitor, and revise interdisciplinary plans of care based on assessments and orders.
• Document patient care in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide ongoing teaching to patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Support development of students, new staff, and colleagues; may serve as a preceptor.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
