Job summary

Colleton Medical Center invites you to join our RN Residency Program, a year-long paid training designed to bridge from student nurse to registered nurse. You will gain hands-on experience, participate in monthly educational sessions, and work with experienced nurse leaders and a facility preceptor to develop critical thinking and clinical skills.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment
• Other Certifications may be required during employment
• RN license or graduate nurse status in the state
• No previous experience needed
• Some travel may be needed for training

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; document care in medical record
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor therapeutic response; notify provider of any adverse responses
• Provide exceptional care by promptly responding to patient requests and anticipating needs
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up; translate complex terms for understanding
