Job summary

Colleton Medical Center is offering a Nurse Residency Program designed to bridge the gap between nursing school and professional practice. This paid, year‑long program provides hands-on experience, a supportive nurse educator team, and opportunities to work with experienced nurses and fellow residents to build clinical and critical thinking skills.

You will participate in advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, a facility preceptor, and evidence‑based projects.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment
• Other certifications may be required during employment
• RN license or Graduate Nurse in the state
• No previous experience required
• Some travel may be needed for training

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and report changes
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response
• Provide prompt, compassionate care and respond to patient needs
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up measures
