St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas seeks a Registered Nurse – New Graduate to begin a clinical career with a structured onboarding, clinical mentorship, and ongoing education to build skills and confidence while delivering patient-centered care.

As a new graduate, you will perform direct patient care, partake in new grad orientation, and collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to support safe care and positive patient outcomes.

Formación

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS preferred or obtained after hire.
• Completion of accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely following hospital protocols.
• Document care accurately in the EMR and maintain thorough patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members on care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Follow infection control, safety, and quality standards in all clinical activities.
• Participate in new grad orientation, preceptorship, and ongoing clinical education.
• Escalate changes in patient condition promptly to supervising nurse or provider.
