Job summary

The RN Residency Program at St. Davids South Austin Medical Center, a part of HCA Healthcare, Inc., offers a year-long paid residency to help new graduates transition to practice. You will gain hands-on clinical experience, mentorship, and structured learning across specialties in a supportive environment.

Start cohorts are available January through March 2027. This role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with providers, and ongoing professional growth within a leading healthcare

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Registered Nurse license or Graduate Nurse in the state.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions per orders; document care.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response; notify provider if needed.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, meds, and follow-up.
