Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville’s Nursing Med Surg unit is hiring a registered nurse for full-time, 36 hours per week on a 3×12 hour night shift with holiday and weekend requirements. The role emphasizes evidence-based care, patient-family engagement, and safety culture, with opportunities for professional development and certification maintenance.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred) and an active RN license in the state, with BLS at minimum.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges in the state where practicing.
• BLS certification; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and updates care plans with the care team.
• Administers medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Maintains accurate and timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed within the service area.
