Job summary

145 The Medical Center of Central Georgia, Inc (MCCG) is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Academic Med-Surg unit in Georgia. The role supports high-quality patient care, clinical education, and hands-on learning in a fast-paced environment.

The RN will utilize the nursing process, collaborate with the care team, and participate in governance and quality initiatives. A BSN is preferred and BLS certification is required. This position includes a sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• BLS certification required; RN license with multi-state or state privileges to practice in Georgia.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient and family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions and updates care plans with the care team.
• Maintains a culture of safety and adheres to policies.
• Administers medications and therapies per protocols when appropriate.
• Maintains accurate electronic health record documentation.
