Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a New Grad Registered Nurse for the Hillcrest 10 ICU. This 90% appointment supports a 12-hour night shift schedule with some day shifts to accommodate new grad training.

The unit specializes in complex cardiac and critical care with Magnet designation and a strong emphasis on professional nursing excellence. The program engages newly licensed nurses with enhanced clinical learning and transition-to-practice experiences through a Nurse Residency Program.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to obtain ART within six months.
• Licensure and certification are not required at time of application but will be required by cohort start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the 13-bed mixed Medical ICU/Coronary Contained Unit.
• Serve as a resource to the nursing team and promote compliance with unit policies.
