Job summary

Centra Health in Virginia’s Central region is recruiting for an entry-level Clinical Registered Nurse I on a 33-bed General Medical Surgical Unit. This role serves adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions as new graduates begin orientation and transition to practice.

The unit emphasizes hands-on experience with advanced procedures and close collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to promote patient health and recovery in a Magnet-designated system.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Virginia RN licensure (or compact license) required.
• BLS Provider certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or required as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and perform individualized assessments within policy timelines.
• Develop and modify care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Perform treatments and nursing interventions as ordered and monitor patient responses.
• Ensure patient safety, advocate for the patient, and document care accurately.
