Job summary

Atrium Health Cleveland - Nursing & Nursing Support Staff General Education is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time, 36 hours per week. The role involves applying nursing processes, coordinating care with teams, and adhering to safety protocols across med surg areas.

The position may require floating to multiple units within the service area and delivering patient-centered care with a focus on evidence-based practices. A BSN is preferred and US RN licensure with BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred by some units; licensed to practice in NC.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence care outcomes.
• Maintains a culture of safety and ensures timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units within the designated service area to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making in patient care.
