Job summary

Atrium Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Unit (CCU), a 10-bed unit in the Georgia facility. The role focuses on critically ill adult/geriatric patients requiring invasive monitoring and mechanical ventilation. RNs new to critical care may enroll in the Critical Care Academy (CCA) for development.

The position requires strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adherence to safety and ethical standards, with potential to float to other units as needed.

Qualifications

• RN license required in the state where practicing.
• BSN is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Maintains a culture of safety and continually evaluates patient and unit outcomes.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol.
• Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork.
