UNC Health Rex is seeking a new graduate nurse for the Cardiovascular Surgery Stepdown Unit (5HV) to launch a professional nursing career within a Nurse Residency Program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Current NC RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure before providing clinical care.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• New graduate or RN with less than 12 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and completing required education.
• Performs nursing assessments and contributes to care planning.
• Administers and titrates medications within scope of practice and monitors patient response.
• Collaborates with interprofessional team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Engages in continuous learning, quality improvement, and professional development.
