Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC, seeks a new graduate RN for the Admission Holding Unit (AHU). This full-time role involves day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, with weekend/holiday rotation.

You will deliver inpatient-level care while supporting patient throughput, ensuring safe transitions to appropriate care. BSN preferred; sign-on bonus may be available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where providing services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based practices to improve care processes.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes.
• Uphold a culture of safety and contribute to continuous unit improvements.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols and procedures.
• Communicate effectively, provide feedback, and delegate appropriately to team members.
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and participate in ongoing professional development.
