Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Overflow Unit. The role emphasizes patient-centered care across a small 9-bed unit with diverse diagnoses and the potential to float to support other areas as needed.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of clinical experience; BSN is preferred. A sign-on bonus is available to eligible applicants who have not received one recently.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing-approved nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered care across the continuum using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with the care team, maintain accurate documentation, and support quality and safety initiatives.
• Float as needed to assist units and adapt to patient needs.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care across the continuum by leveraging the nursing process, administering treatments per protocol, and adapting care based on patient needs.
• Collaborate effectively with the care team while maintaining accurate documentation, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and upholding professional standards, ethics, and ongoing development (including flexibility to float as needed).
