Job summary

Yale New Haven Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered care within the CT regulatory framework. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and evidence-based practice as part of the SPIRE advancement program.

The RN will establish therapeutic relationships, communicate with patients and families, and coordinate care with the health care team while upholding the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred; newly hired RNs must have current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.
• Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut; clinical specialty certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• RN practices professional nursing within the CT Nurse Practice Act and standards.
• Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients and families; communicates and collaborates with health care team.
• Adheres to ANA standards of practice and professional performance; participates in coordination of care, health teaching, and quality improvement.
