Qualifications

• ARRT certification
• Current Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in a clinic or InstaCare setting

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Verify patient identities, review orders, and prepare patients for exams.
• Perform imaging exams according to department protocols ensuring image quality.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
• Complete studies within acceptable timeframes without compromising care.
• Assist and instruct students and other Radiology Technologists in procedures and equipment use.
• Provide patient education, address questions, and ensure comfort.
• Follow infection control standards and sterile techniques.
• Operate imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
• Document patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions.
• Follow protocols related to medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control, and reporting equipment failures
