Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, verify orders, and prepare patients for exams.
  • Perform imaging exams according to department protocols and review images for quality.
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Complete studies within acceptable timeframes without compromising patient care or quality.
  • Instruct students and other Radiology Technologists in exam procedures and equipment use.
  • Provide patient education and address questions or concerns.
  • Follow infection control standards and sterile technique practices.
  • Operate imaging equipment and related systems to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Document patient information, procedures, and any adverse reactions accurately.
  • Follow protocols related to medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control, and reporting equipment failures.
