Boston Medical Center is seeking a New Grad Nurse for a comprehensive residency program. This role supports new graduates with mentorship and experiential learning over six months. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, and ensuring quality outcomes in a supportive environment.
This position offers a comprehensive new graduate nurse transition to practice program, incorporating the Nurse of the Future Nursing Core Competencies. New graduate nurses are hired into cohorts and progress through nursing orientation together, with individualized education, preceptorship, and educational days over six months to foster mentorship and experiential learning.
The preferred candidate has graduated from nursing school within twelve (12) months prior to their hire date. The role involves nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and care coordination for patients and their families across the healthcare continuum. The registered nurse is accountable for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes, following established policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice. Reports to the Unit Nurse Manager.
