Job summary

Skanska is seeking an Environmental Engineer to integrate environmental services into project practices and ensure regulatory compliance. You will work closely with EH&S staff, field engineers, superintendents, project managers, and executives to oversee environmental activities on projects.

The role requires a strong foundation in environmental engineering and project management, with emphasis on safety, sustainability, and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety/Health Construction or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Broad theoretical knowledge with potential for advanced education.
  • Practical knowledge of project management.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate environmental services into business practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee all project activities related to environmental services and interact with EH&S staff, field engineers, superintendents, PMs, and executives.
  • Coordinate with project team to ensure adherence to environmental safety standards.

The Environmental Engineer is responsible for the integration of environmental services into the business practices and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Environmental Engineer oversees responsibilities of all project activities related to environmental services and has direct interaction with EH&S Staff, Field Engineers, Superintendents, Project Manager and Project Executive.

Environmental Engineer Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree – in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety / Health Construction or Civil Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.
  • Advance knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Practical knowledge of project management.
