Qualifications

Job description

• Assist in producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications
• Perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery with the project team
• Assist with conceptual and detailed designs and calculations using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software
• Contribute to project delivery for rail and transit planning and design projects
• Support passenger, freight, and light rail transit operations analyses
• Assist with planning and construction studies from an operations and data-based perspective
• Complete assigned work within the provided schedule and hours
• Support preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations
• Assist with project quantity and cost estimates
• Organize and provide administrative support for design files
• Support research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD or other software
• Relevant coursework experience with railway engineering
• Ability to learn and apply software models, including RTC and OpenTrack
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
