Job summary

Databricks is seeking an Associate Product Designer to join our APD cohort in Washington. You will work with engineers, PMs, and designers to build features on the Databricks platform while conducting customer research to align design with user needs.

You will graduate in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with an HCI-related degree and leverage AI tooling in your design process, balancing craft with data-driven decisions and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 graduation with a degree in HCI or related design.
• Ability to leverage AI tooling in the design process without sacrificing craft.
• Strong sense of visual hierarchy, layout, and information architecture.
• Hands-on with SQL and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Work with a cross-functional team to build features for the company platform.
• Manage your project end-to-end, from discovery and ideation through final design prototype for engineering to implement.
• Work with engineers and designers to ship features on the company platform.
• Conduct research with customers to better understand their needs and improve your design.
