Job summary

Databricks in Bellevue, Washington is offering a 12-week paid summer Product Design internship. You will join a cross-functional team to explore design challenges at the intersection of data and AI, mentored by a senior designer.

You will conduct research with customers, build interactive prototypes with AI tooling, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other interns to ship thoughtful design solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field with expected graduation date in 2027/2028.
• Strong interaction design skills and knowledge of user-centered design methods.
• Ability to build interactive prototypes leveraging AI tooling.
• Experience using data to inform design decisions and conducting usability testing.

Responsibilities

• Work with a cross-functional team to build features for the Databricks platform.
• Manage your project end-to-end from discovery to final design prototype for engineering to implement.
• Conduct customer research to understand needs and improve design.
