Job summary

VEG is launching the New ER Doctor (NERD) program to transform practicing veterinarians into expert VEG ER doctors. This six‑month, immersive training blends academic and clinical teaching with individualized mentorship, preparing you to join VEG as a full-time ER physician after completion.

You’ll work alongside VEG clinicians, perform procedures, and develop skills in endoscopy and exotic medicine in a fast-paced, open‑concept hospital.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping people and their pets.
• DVM or equivalent degree and veterinary license.
• Desire to live and breathe emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with experienced VEG doctors on real ER cases with mentorship.
• Gain up-close ER experience with 3–4 hospital shifts per week during the program and weekly case discussions.
• Learn client-centered communication and the VEG Way.
