Job summary

QED Systems, LLC is seeking a New Equipment Installer (Technician) to join our team in support of PM PNT. This is a remote position with substantial travel expected to deploy and support PNT systems on military vehicles including Abrams, Bradley, JLTV, HEMMT, FMTV, and HMMWV.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and four years of electronic equipment testing experience, including two years in military subsystem installations.

• Four (4) years total experience testing electronic equipment, including two (2) years testing and troubleshooting electronic subsystem installations in military systems.
• Active clearance level required: Secret.

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a New Equipment Installer (Technician) to join our team to support our customer, Project Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PM PNT). This is a remote position.

Duties

• Provides field support services related to the installation, troubleshooting and repair of systems and subsystems.
• Conducts installation of PNT systems on combat vehicles to include but not limited to Abrams, Bradley, JLTV, HEMMT, FMTV and HMMWVs.
• Facilitates higher level repair of equipment.
• Ensures support equipment and tools are regularly calibrated and maintained.
• Troubleshoot related product malfunctions. Install, modify, wire, fabricate and maintain systems.
• Distinguish between hardware and software problems during equipment checks.

Required Skills & Experience

• Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Prior experience in the maintenance of Abrams, Bradley, JLTV, HEMMT, FMTV, and HMMWVs preferred.

Required Clearance

• ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret

Qualifications

Travel: Not less than 50 % travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment

This position will be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, government offices, military bases and depots, warehouse/maintenance shops, and/or field environments that include extended periods outdoors.

Physical demands of this position include ability to:

• Be independently mobile.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
• Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
• Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.
• Operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
• Lift/push/pull objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
• Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

Estimated Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for fully qualified candidates for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
