Job summary

QED Systems, LLC is seeking a New Equipment Installer (Technician) for a remote position to support PM PNT projects. The role involves installing, troubleshooting and repairing PNT systems on combat vehicles, including Abrams, Bradley, JLTV, HEMMT, FMTV and HMMWV.

Applicants must hold an active Secret clearance, possess a High School Diploma or GED, and have four years of testing electronic equipment, with two years in subsystem installations, plus travel of 50% or more.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and has excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Prior experience in maintenance or testing of electronic equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide field support for installation, troubleshooting and repair of systems and subsystems.
• Install, modify, wire, fabricate and maintain PNT systems on military vehicles (Abrams, Bradley, JLTV, HEMTT, FMTV, HMMWV).
• Facilitate higher-level repair and ensure tools are calibrated and maintained.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues during equipment checks.

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a

New Equipment Installer (Technician)

to join our team to support our customer, Project Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PM PNT) . This is a remote position.

• Duties:Provides field support services related to the installation, troubleshooting and repair of systems and subsystems.
• Conducts installation of PNT systems on combat vehicles to include but not limited to Abrams, Bradley, JLTV, HEMMT, FMTV and HMMWVs.
• Facilitates higher level repair of equipment.
• Ensures support equipment and tools are regularly calibrated and maintained.
• Troubleshoot related product malfunctions.
• Install, modify, wire, fabricate and maintain systems.
• Distinguish between hardware and software problems during equipment checks.

• Required Skills & Experience:Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Prior experience in the maintenance of Abrams, Bradley, JLTV, HEMMT, FMTV, and HMMWVs preferred.

• Required Clearance:ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret

• Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Four (4) years of total experience testing of electronic equipment, to include; two (2) years of testing and troubleshooting of electronic subsystem installations in military systems experience.

Travel:Not less than 50 % travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment:This position will be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, government offices, military bases and depots, warehouse/maintenance shops, and/or field environments that include extended periods outdoors.

Physical Demands:Physical demands of this position include ability to:Be independently mobile.Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.Operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.Lift/push/pull objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.Reasonable accommodation will be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
