Job summary

Big Horn Heating & Cooling is seeking a Shop Helper to assist with sheet metal fabrication and field operations for our New Construction Team. This role provides essential support to installers by preparing materials, organizing tools, and keeping job sites ready for productive work.

Based in Mississippi, you will travel locally between residential and commercial sites, lift up to 75 pounds, and work Monday through Friday with possible overtime and weekend calls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Shop Manager with fabricating ductwork
• Pick up and deliver parts, materials, and equipment to jobs
• Assist with New Construction jobs as needed
• Maintain facilities and equipment at the multiple facilities

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds or more
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or scaffolding
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions

Work Environment

• Residential and commercial job sites
• Exposure to mechanical equipment, dust, noise, and temperature extremes
• Field-based work with daily travel between job sites

Schedule

• Typically Monday through Friday
• Overtime, evenings, weekends, and on-call work may be required

Travel Requirements

• Local travel within the assigned service area
