Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is seeking a Punch & Warranty Supervisor to support the New Construction team, ensuring smooth closings and warranty procedures on both new and existing homes.

The role involves coordinating volunteers, administering warranty processes, and leading safety and quality efforts on site. A strong background in construction safety and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 3+ years in construction, CPR/First Aid, OSHA 10-hour, OSHA Competent Person HFHI training.

Responsibilities

• Manage the warranty process for New and Existing Home projects, including intake and tracking of requests and assignment of repairs.
• Develop and implement homeowner maintenance skills training in collaboration with Family Services staff.
• Lead volunteer groups on construction tasks and coordinate with supervisors to ensure timely closings during the final punch phase.
• Assist in internal quality control inspections on New Construction projects and establish consistent responsibilities with the Director of New Construction.
• As an OSHA Competent Person, contribute to a comprehensive construction safety program.

Basic Functions

The Punch and Warranty Supervisor will support the New Construction team throughout the build process, with a specific focus on insuring smooth closings and warranty procedures.

Principal Responsibilities

• Manage the warranty process for both New and Existing Home projects
  • Intake and tracking of new requests
  • Triage of warranty concerns as needed
  • Perform warranty repairs and/or assign to a construction staff member
  • Develop and implement homeowner maintenance skills training program, partnering with Family Services staff as appropriate
• Support the New Construction team in leading volunteer groups and finishing projects
  • Lead volunteer groups on all tasks when scheduling conflicts occur
  • Coordinate with supervisors to spend up to three days on each New Construction project during the final punch phase, to insure clean and timely closings
• Assist managers in performing internal quality control inspections on New Construction projects
• Collaborate with Director of New Construction to establish a consistent approach to the job responsibilities
• As an OSHA Competent Person, assist in leading efforts towards accomplishing a comprehensive, construction safety program.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Preferred: 3+ years in construction, CPR/First Aid, OSHA 10-hour, OSHA Competent Person (HFHI training)

Work Environment

This position requires working indoors and outdoors on construction sites and finished homes, and in an office setting sites in all types of weather.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work on construction sites full time: lifting 75 lbs. unassisted, climbing ladders/scaffolding, working on roof and in crawl spaces, and maneuvering over uneven ground.

Level of authority

Manage Volunteers, and Subcontractors as needed. Coordinate with other Construction Staff
