Paragon Safety Group is seeking an Onsite Safety Manager for a construction site in Orlando, FL for approximately 3 months. This contract role involves coaching workers, auditing safety practices, and ensuring OSHA compliance on site.

The successful candidate will identify unsafe conditions, conduct inspections, and lead safety orientations while coordinating with the client, general contractor, or specialty subcontractor.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in safety or related field required.
• BCSP certification required or equivalent.
• OSHA 500 certification with 6+ years' site safety management experience.

Job description:

Who we are: Paragon Safety Group provides safety services to construction clients throughout the Eastern US. Headquartered in Raleigh, we provide workplace safety training, consulting, and on-site safety professionals to help our clients keep their jobsites safe.

What we need: Paragon Safety Group has a safety position at construction jobsite in the Orlando, FL area and we are seeking a safety professional who might fill this positions in the role of an On-Site Safety Manager for approximately 3 months.

Our positions are temporary W-2 positions with full-time hours (often shifts are 8 to 10 hours per day, and some jobs will offer the potential for significant overtime). In this job, you'd work on the construction site, coaching workers to ensure the safe operations on behalf of the Paragon client, either a site owner, general contractor, or specialty subcontractor.

The person will identify and correct unsafe working conditions, conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

Job Duties of the On-Site Safety Specialist

• Perform regular site safety audits and prepare formal audit reports using our preferred software, called Safety Reports
• Coach employees on-site to use safe work practices, in compliance with federal guidelines and company regulations.
• Monitor the performance of safety critical tasks. Work with the Contractor to ensure proper safety best practices are being implemented.
• Represent the client's best interest related to site health and safety at all times.
• Report safety incidents and conduct investigations when deemed necessary.
• Conduct Safety Orientation for personnel as needed.

Qualifications

The successful candidate has:

ONE of the following 3 are REQUIRED

• Bachelors/Masters degree in safety & Minimum 3 years' experience in jobs with 100% of time managing construction site safety
• BCSP Cert & Minimum 5 years' experience in jobs with 100% of time managing construction site safety
• OSHA 500 & Minimum 6 years' experience in jobs with 100% of time managing construction site safety
• Mission Critical Experience (Required)
• Up to date First Aid / CPR / AED Certification
• Great communication skills (required)
