Job summary

Grubbs Volvo Cars Grapevine seeks a New Car Sales Director to own the new vehicle department, including volume, gross, inventory, and people development. This role carries real authority, with input into pay plans and a focus on process and results across the store.

You will lead a data-driven team, implement Volvo programs, and drive a culture of internal promotion and long-term retention within a family-owned DFW group.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in dealership sales management, including GM/ISD-type roles.
• Proven track record against factory objectives, not just gross figures.
• Strong command of inventory and stocking policy.
• Comfort with a data-driven store and transparent KPIs.
• Experience with V-Auto and Tekion is a plus.
• History of developing people and teams.
• Luxury/import experience preferred; Volvo familiarity is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Own new vehicle volume against factory objectives monthly and yearly.
• Own new vehicle gross — front and back, in collaboration with F&I.
• Desking and deal structure with full authority; all deals reviewed for math.
• Inventory management: stocking mix, ordering, floorplan policy.
• Oversee Volvo programs: incentives, allocation, scorecard requirements.
• Develop the sales team: managers and salespeople with structured cadences.
• Lead handling with the BDC and internet team.
• Oversee the delivery process and service handoff.
• Monitor Volvo CSI/CX performance for new vehicle sales.
• Hiring, onboarding, and retention of the sales team.
