Job summary

IMA Financial Group, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking an experienced insurance professional to join our team as a licensed P&C specialist.

You will quote, bind, and place coverage, collaborate with producers and carrier partners, and manage accounts with precision and timely communication. The role requires 3–5 years of related insurance experience, a valid P&C license, and strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Active P&C license required.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment while responding to requests in a timely, accurate manner.
  • 3-5 years of similar or related insurance experience.
  • Systems skills - experience with Epic and Indio preferred.
  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and quick turnaround demands.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work overtime if necessary, due to cyclical nature of business.
  • Hybrid schedule with 3 to 4 in-office days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values.
  • Collaborates with sales staff, both locally and long distance, as well as carrier partners in developing and executing marketing and placement strategies to drive new business growth.
  • Submits new business applications, including supplementals, to carrier partners.
  • Generates quotes utilizing carrier online quoting systems and creates professional, detailed proposals per agency standards.
  • Enters prospect and underwriting information into agency management system and maintains organized account files with proper documentation.
  • Maintains knowledge of carrier and broker appetites and specialty programs, including attending carrier meetings to stay apprised of market and rate changes.
  • Effectively communicates quoted coverages, costs, and deductibles to producers including identifying and suggesting coverage enhancements and mitigation opportunities.
  • Coordination and issuance of binders, invoices, filings and finance agreements Assists in providing a seamless transition from marketing to assigned servicing team.
  • Manages day to day relationships with carrier partners and assists in building long term partnerships.
  • Assists in upholding company appetite and standards while building relationships with producers and contributing to their success.
  • Strives to help meet or exceed agency and department goals and deadlines.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to:
